FAQ Q. What is Mount'n Seal? A. Mount'n Seal Conservation Wrap is an attractive and inexpensive way to display all kinds artwork, posters and collectible items. Your artwork is placed on a light-weight, rigid board, approximately five-eigths of an inch in thickness. The edge is taped to a colour of your choice, providing a thin border. The piece is tightly wrapped in a shrink film with a cloth hanger stapled to the back. Mount'n Seal is an alternative to metal and glass framing. Q. How long will it take to process my order? A. Typically, orders are turned around in 3-5 working days. Q. How much does it cost? A. Cost will be calculated by size category. My Mount'n Seal piece is torn or scratched. Can it be repaired? A. Your Mount'n Seal piece can be re-wrapped in shrinkfilm at any time for approximately 30% of it's original cost. If the backing board is damaged, it may be trimmed, re-edged and re-wrapped at 50% of the original cost. Q. I have a Mount'n Seal piece, but would like to switch the poster or artwork. Can this be done? A. Any Mount'n Seal product can be removed from the board at no charge. The cost for re-mounting a poster of the same dimensions (no trimming of the backing board) is approximately 30% of the original cost. Q. What is the maximum size? A. Our maximum size is approximately 48 inches in width and 100 inches in length. Q. How do I clean my Mount'n Seal poster? A. Gently wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. For best results use a solution of alcohol and water. Q. Approximately how much will my Mount'n Seal poster it weigh? A. A typical Mount'n Seal poster (24 x 36) weighs less than three pounds. Q. How is the artwork held on the board? A. A small amount of acid-free double sided tape is applied to the back of your artwork or poster, usually near to the corners. Q. Is it acid free? A. While the adhesive tape used is acid free, the backing board is not. When required, an acid-free environment is achieved by pre-shrinkwrapping the backing board. Q. Is adhesive tape necessary? A. No. Collectors and others who are concerned with the effect of adhesives may have their work shrinkwrapped with no adhesive tape. Q. Is the plastic film necessary? A. Yes. Our process relies on the shrinkfilm to preserve your artwork and the backing board to which it is lightly mounted. Q. How do I get to Mount'n Seal? What are your hours of operation? A. Mount'n Seal is located in Toronto at 1947 Leslie Street, between York Mills and Highway 401 on the east side. (South of the Keg Restaurant and north of the Second Cup.
